The Broken Doll

Odd piece, this. The idea for it popped into my mind completely out of the blue, some odd combination of Kadin-related thoughts and fragmentation. It's designed to be the right size to print out as a 4x6 photo - a lot of my latest stuff is that size or 8x10 size, as I've discovered the 24-hour walgreens near us does great photo prints from decent-quality jpgs. Yes, I have quite a few pieces that haven't gotten posted here; I've been creating in very short bursts and more often than not completely forget which stock I've used, and I feel really embarassed about posting any image where I can't accurately credit every stock and brush artist I used. This one though, amazingly, is only a few images. I'm actually pretty proud of the complexity of it, with what I used.

First off, there's a brush set by ~rL-Brushes, of course. The weird little carvings and glyph-like figures are from her Maori Tribal set, if I recall correctly.

Next there's the doll herself, a picture from *AttempteStock that just jumped out at me; the fossil seashell from an unknown devart source (I try to save each image with the artist's devaccount name as part of the name, but unfortunately this one is missing said credits - I DO know it's devart stock though); the leafy shadows and light dapples are from *joannastar-stock, a garden shot specifically; the cracks and some of the other texturing is from a sumerian mural photographed by ~cyborgsuzystock. So yeah, four images and a brush set, and this is what I come up with. ^.^ I'm pretty proud.
